A first floor addition was built atop an existing single storey bungalow, retaining the footprint of the original house. The brief called for spacious, open and light-filled interiors. A sense of privacy was also an important objective for the site's corner position. A material palette of earthy tones, neutral colours and natural textures was used holistically forming a relationship between the dwelling and the landscaped garden.
