This project involved changes to the rear of a two-storey Federation house on a steep site. Original front bedrooms and street entry were retained whilst living and dining areas were enlarged and arranged to improve their relationship with the garden. A new upper level was added containing a master bedroom and bathroom. Natural light and lofty ceilings were a key part of the client brief, achieved by echoing the pitched roof forms of the original house.
